Truthear Hola Scorings

Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

E+
  • Tuning is chaotic and fatiguing, with clashing frequencies that make long sessions unbearable. Every song demands frequent volume adjustments.

Average Technical Grade

E-
  • A foggy, one-dimensional presentation wipes out layering and obscures the finer points of a mix. Spatial cues barely register at all.
Mids C-
It delivers a workable midrange that could benefit from smoother transitions. Timbre isn't quite convincing yet.
Treble E-
Expect severely attenuated treble that leaves textures subdued. Everything sounds veiled and muted.
Dynamics E-
It cannot muster meaningful volume gradation, making tracks feel static. It drains life from energetic music.
Soundstage D
Depth collapses quickly, so even with stereo cues the scene feels cramped and two-tiered. It feels constrained even with live tracks.

7Hz Salnotes Zero Scorings

Average Technical & Tuning Grades

Average Tunign Grade

D+
  • Expect a patchy tonal profile that makes instrumentation feel mismatched. EQ is almost mandatory to tame the response.

Average Technical Grade

E+
  • A foggy, one-dimensional presentation wipes out layering and obscures the finer points of a mix. Spatial cues barely register at all.
Mids C+
Expect a competent midrange that keeps vocals grounded and instruments clear. Tone is acceptable across multiple genres.
Treble E+
The upper end is cloaked, leaving cymbals lacking shimmer and air. Overtones hide behind the midrange.
Dynamics E-
Dynamics barely flicker, leaving energetic sections strangely subdued. There's no punch to latch onto.
Soundstage C+
You start to perceive distinct rows of players even if the ceiling still feels low. Layering is present but still modest.

My favourite $20 set, much more than Waner

Not very organic
